Arsenal International Soccer Festival!

2007 will be the 17th annual event.

Teams from all over the world have taken part over the years. 2006 saw teams from
USA, Canada,South Africa, Australia,Israel, Egypt & Poland amongst others, travelling to play teams from a
dozen English County associations.The Festival takes place on the award winning fields of Royal Holloway University in
picturesque Surrey.40 minutes from London, 30 from Heathrow airport & 10 from Windsor Castle & Eton College, the
location is ideal for providing top quality football coupled with a great holiday.

The Festival is played under the rules of the FA & FIFA. Great emphasis is placed on
the desire to win coupled with Fair Play. Lasting international friendships have been made at previous Festivals
and we always look forward to welcoming friends both old & new.

All matches are played from the afternoons onwards on weekdays, and all day at
weekends. Groups have free use of the fields for practise when tournament games are not taking place coaching with FA qualified coaches can be arranged.

All matches are played on campus. Residential teams have no travelling to play.
Every game is refereed by 3 officials.
With the exception of exceptional unforeseen circumstances, all teams entering the
Festival are guaranteed 4 games.
All matches are of 1 hour duration. In most cases, teams will be divided into
groups, followed by a Cup & Plate knockout competition.

Visits to local stadiums such as Emirates & Wembley can possibly be arranged.

Within easy reach of the college are London, Windsor Castle & Eton College , Warwick
Castle , Bath , Stonehenge , Oxford ,
Stratford etc. along with theme parks like Chessington, Legoland & Thorpe Park .
Excursions can be arranged on request.

Various evening social events will be arranged, such as the Festival disco, karaoke,
etc. These events are free to residential guests.

DATES

Arrival no later than Tuesday 31st July. Departure on or after 6th August 2007

Tournament games start on 28th July for local teams & earlier arrivals.

Finals day for all age groups is Sunday 5th August

Dispensations may be granted on request.

Before their first game, each team must produce a list of players eligible to play,
along with photographic proof of age. This proof should be available for production
at each game played.

All English teams must be affiliated to their County FA

All overseas teams must be affiliated to their country’s FA & have permission to
travel & play.

All groups are responsible for their own insurance

2007 Women's Open Age Weekend Tournament
Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd July
48 teams will compete in 3 competitions
Elite Teams, Senior Teams and Recreational teams
Team Registration Fee: £100 per team

2007 Men's Open Age Weekend Tournament
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August
80 Teams will compete in 4 competitions
Veterans Over 35's and Over 40's Competitions
Team Registration Fee: £115 per team

2007 Veterans Weekend Tournament
Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August - two day tournament
Competition for 0ver 35's, Over 40's and Super Vet's Over 45's
Team Registration Fee: £115 per team

Nations Participated in the 2006 Umbro International Cup - Manchester, England
Australia, Taiwan, Kenya, Malta, Lithuania, South Africa, Lusaka, Norway, USA,
Canada, Republic of Ireland, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Chille, Bahrain, Albania, Wales, Estonia, Switzerland
and England.

UMBRO is No1: A recent independent web poll of 600 coaches voted the Manchester
Umbro Cup - the world's top youth soccer tournament with 24% of the votes.

Accommodation Options

The Manchester Cup offers some of the finest tournament accommodation facilities
available, all within easy travelling distance from the Sports Fields, City Centre, Airport and Railway Stations.

All teams will have the opportunity of staying in the same accommodation as used by
the world's top athletes for the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Manchester University's Magnificent - 'Sports City'
Wilmslow Road - Fallowfield, Manchester M14 6HD . The 'Sports City' accommodation
offers everything from budget apartment style facilities, University Dorms (single bedrooms), and superior
en-suite rooms. The University even has a superb conference accommodation facility equivalent to a four star hotel.

Richmond Park (Superior On-suite Accommodation)
A modern superior style accommodation offering 400 en-suite single rooms arranged in
units of eight bedrooms with shower/wc and washbasin en-suite and a large lounge area, ideal for team socialising.

Sheavyn / Ashburne Halls
A beautifully located self contained facility with both modern and traditional
university accommodation. Single en-suite rooms in Sheavyn – shared bathrooms in Ashburne. An elegant dining hall – wood panel
library and well planted tranquil grounds.

Woolton Hall (Not available for 2006 due to refurbishment programme).
A very popular and secure accommodation unit. This classic styled university
residential facility is very popular with girls teams who request it year after year. All rooms are single occupancy – quiet and
spacious with their own wash basin and easy access to shared bathrooms and mini kitchens.

The Tower (Standard Accommodation)
A tall tower block that is also popular because of its location being at the focal
point of the university's campus courtyard.
Particularly popular for visiting sports groups because of its good access to all
the university facilities and it offers excellent
security arrangements and single bedroom accommodation.

Little and Tree Court
Popular traditional university accommodation featuring single bedrooms with shared
bathroom facilities. Located around the campus courtyard.

Oak House (Budget Accommodation)
Outstanding value accommodation which is very popular for the budget conscious group
and groups who prefer an apartment style living. Eight single bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchenette and lounge.

On-Campus Dining Facilities (3 dinning halls and late bar facility)
Meal Plan - Teams will be provided with two meals a day (breakfast and evening
dinner), with menus designed for athletes and top sportsmen.

Sports Facilities - On Campus there are eight grass soccer fields, two Astroturf
pitches, state-of-the-art Gymnasium, fitness centre, tennis and squash courts.

Camping
A choice of camping facilities are available in the area for any team that may wish
to consider this option.

Willow Bank Hotel (3 star) - Part of the Feather Group
Located 200 yards from the main University campus. Superb restaurant. Highly rated,
comfortable hotel, ideal for visiting parents. All rooms en-suite. Recently refurbished to the highest standards.

Britannia Hotel Group (3-4 star standard)
One of the finest hotel groups in the North West of England and extremely popular
with visiting sports groups, creating their own fun-filled atmosphere amidst luxurious surroundings. Excellent
restaurant, pizzeria and three lively bars. Swimming pool, health club. Superbly located just 5 minutes drive from the sports
fields, 10 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from the city centre
