Safety & Welfare Police Approved Guidelines inlingua Vacation Programmes have adopted the policies and procedures as laid down by Child-Safe (www.child-safe.org.uk). We do this by: - Recognising that all children and young peole have the right to freedom from abuse
- Ensuring that all our staff, volunteers and host families are carefully selected and accept responsibility for helping prevent the abuse of children and youngpeople in their care
- Responding swiftly and appropriately to all suspicions or allegations of abuse, and providing host families, parents and guardians, children and young people with the opportunity to voice any concerns they may have
- Appointing a Child Protection or Welfare Officer who will take specific responsibility for child safety and actas the main point of contact for host families, parents, guardians, children, young people and outside agencies
- Ensuring access to confidential information is restricted to the Child Protection Officer, Welfare Officer or the appropriate external authorities
- Regularly reviewing the effectiveness of our Child Protection Policy
